In my research, I focus on preservation, architectural archives, and material culture. I am investigating the complexity of contemporary practice and material artifacts as evidence, with a particular focus on the architectural workplace. I am operating from the position that architectural records are valuable sources of information that document the built (and unbuilt) environment and the social history of the communities in which they are created, and that shifts in architectural practice and technology complicate the long-term preservation of the material artifacts of building culture.
